How confident do you feel about your ability to identify claims in a text? What was the easiest part of today's activity, and what did you find challenging? Explain how today's lesson helped you better understand the difference between a claim and other statements an author might make.

Prompt Response: I feel good about my power to identify claims. Reading the article and highlighting information in certain colors in a way I could understand helped a lot. Since I was here the day prior and I had to help my self understand the different types of claims, which wasn't too challenging but did go into some of my classwork. While reading the article and completing the assignment I understood the different claims, especially because of how invested I was into the article. The author made great points and I enjoyed reading the opposing opinion as well.

Summary: In class we read an article and identified claims.

Reflection:  I enjoyed the assignment and the article was very interesting. It helped me understand claims better and put them to sentences.

Response: Main goal of the 3 I´ve chosen is keeping God at the center of everything I do. The reason I chose this as my first goal is because I strongly trust my religion and I believe that with God watching over me and as long as I engange with him consistantly he will guide me to where I need to be.   Prompt Response:   During this week I've made plenty of adjustments to fulfill what's expected of me. I've tried to have a set schedule on when to complete assignments, as well as planning an creating a base for each assingment. A strength while taking this course is asking questions to create a common understanding for homework assignments. a challenge I may anticipate is keeping up with the blog posts, or even focusing when reading long texts. Summary: Today in class we finished up our origin myths, I couldn't get much done because my Chromebook has a technical problem. Reflection:  I learned to prioritze getting my work done at home untill my chrombook issue is fixed, because I have a personal device that isn't allowed at school.

Prompt Response:   A meaningful place in my life that carries a story is my bedroom. My bedroom has always been a safe space for me. Somewhere I can go to when I'm down, happy, figuring things out, etc. My bedroom means a lot to me, and I rarely let people come into my space. Only family and my boyfriend have been in there. My bedroom is just a space where I can get everything I need to done. Summary: In class we did a paper assignment about an origin myth. Reflection:  I enjoyed reading about the origin myth, but I can't lie like the questions weren't difficult.
